Welcome Parents & Scholars,

All of the guidelines and policies for this course have been discussed in class and have also been approved by MCSD.  General rules for the computer lab include the following items:

  • No Gum/Candy/Drinks (packed lunches should remain in student assigned locker)

  • All assignments must be completed by each student individually (unless working on a group assigned lesson) and must be their own original work.  Copying work of others is considered plagiarism and will not be tolerated.  Students found to be in violation will receive a failing grade and disciplinary referral.

  • No spinning/playing in the chair (adjust the chair to a comfortable height upon entry only)

  • Do not access the CD/DVD drive unless needed for class

  • Headphones are to be used only when directed and returned in the same manner prior to dismissal

  • Be sure to LOG OFF the computer (do not lock it)

  • No games/web surfing without teacher permission (this includes usage during study hall/homeroom).  When permission is given by the teacher, a list of "Approved Student Websites" is what students are expected to visit.  *If you come across a resource that appears educational and credible, but is not listed on the approved student websites pages, please speak with Mr. Yerger to see if it can be added.

  • Take and/or dispose of all papers in the computer lab when leaving

  • No printing without permission!  Please speak with the teacher if you have a project to print so that we can help ensure it is printed in the best possible format

  • Students are required to sit at their assigned location (unless permission has been given to move)

  • No logging on as or using somebody else's account!

    • - Any violations of the Technology Policy are subject to disciplinary referral.  Any student(s) involved are subject to loss of computer privileges, failing grade on associated project(s), and further discipline measures from the school administration.
